We will institute reforms to maximize the value that we offer to society and to realize an inclusive and sustainable society

The NESIC Group has a long-term vision for society as an inclusive and sustainable society created through communications. We have defined significant actions for realizing this as materiality issues.

In December 2021, we adopted our Sustainability Policy on the basis of our belief that support for the sustainable development of society and customers will lead to our own sustainable development. We thus declared that we would work together with stakeholders to realize safe, secure and comfortable lifestyles and to maintain and improve the global environment through corporate and business activities.

In recent years, the circumstances surrounding us have been changing significantly, for instance with security threats associated with newly emerging or intensified geopolitical risks, multiple risks exemplified by infectious diseases and an increase in large-scale natural disasters due to climate change. With these changes, a number of new social issues have emerged. Amid changing social values, sustainability in corporate activities and in society is considered to be of increasing significance.

Under our medium-term management plan for FY2022 to FY2024, we are pursuing strategies for practicing sustainability management, including non-financial activities. We will step up our actions to address climate change as well as our initiatives for human capital , to fulfill our corporate responsibility. In addition, we will maximize the social value we offer through innovation using new technologies, such as digital transformation (DX), as well as next-generation networks to resolve social issues and create a sustainable society together with stakeholders.
