Work-Life Balance
NEC Networks & System Integration CorporationSystems for Achieving Work–Life Balance
NESIC endeavors to improve systems that help employees achieve work–life balance from a variety of perspectives such as work, family, child-raising, caring for relatives, volunteering, and investing in their career advancement so that each and every employee can work to the best of their abilities.
Balancing Work with Child-Raising
NESIC is taking steps to improve its systems for helping employees with children balance their work and child-raising duties without worrying about either. NESIC has received the “Kurumin” mark of certification under the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children, based on the high marks received for its work system that enables diverse work styles for employees, improvements to childcare-related systems, and the creation of a work environment conducive to taking time off for raising children and then returning to work. Every month, we hold briefings for male employees who are about to become fathers, and their superiors, to encourage them to take time off while informing them of our systems for supporting the balancing of work with child-rearing.
“Platinum Kurumin” mark of certification
Kurumin is a mark given to companies that have created action plans based on the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children and have demonstrated progress toward achieving their goals.

Inclusion in Niigata Prefecture’s “Happy Partner” Corporate Registration System
On June 26, 2017, NESIC’s Niigata Branch Office received certification as a “Happy Partner” from Niigata Prefecture as a company that encourages equal participation by men and women. This system certifies companies that are keen to train and promote female employees through work environments that strike a balance between work and family for both men and women.
Balancing Work with Caring for Relatives
NESIC is enhancing its systems for helping employees balance work with caregiving and raising awareness of these systems among its employees through the Company intranet and holding seminars.
We continually hold caregiving seminars to alleviate any concerns employees may have about balancing work with caregiving, and share information such as on how to take advantage of caregiving insurance services and know-how on successfully caring for family members who live in their own homes or in distant places.
Nickname: Tomonin
The Tomonin mark can be used by companies endeavoring to put into place a work environment that balances work with caregiving responsibilities.

Work-Style Reforms and Contributing to Productivity Improvements
As a part of its work-style innovation, NESIC has introduced a new work system with teleworking for all employees (from July 2017).
Through this work system, each and every employee is able to adopt a more flexible work style that includes working at home, which can lead to improvements in productivity and efficiency while sparking innovation.
NESIC strongly supports the work-style reforms of its customers with extensive know-how of what works based on its own efforts over the past ten years in deploying its own office innovations and experiments with teleworking in-house.
Moreover, we have received positive evaluations from third-party institutions on these initiatives.
Reducing Total Work Hours
To encourage employees to take paid vacation, NESIC has designated periods within July and September to use chunks of paid vacation days as a part of summer break. Based on employment agreements, NESIC grants paid vacation days every August.
In addition, NESIC encourages employees to take paid vacation days during the second and third weeks of June and October.
